What Types of Drop-In Classes Are Offered?

Ascend Aerial Arts offers a variety of aerial drop-in classes listed below. All aerial students with previous experience training with a professional instructor can schedule a free assessment to determine which class level is appropriate.

What if I need to cancel my drop-in class?

4-hour advanced cancellation

  • Students who cancel at least 4 hours prior to the class start time through the Momence APP or website. Students who do so will receive 100% full class credit that can be applied to a future drop-in class. 

Less than 4-hour cancellation

  • Students who cancel less than 4 hours before the class start time will NOT receive class credit or refund.  
  • Students who experience extenuating circumstances within the 4-hour window (such as a car trouble, family emergency, seeking urgent medical care, etc.) should text Tammy directly at 650.489.6573. Class credit is not guaranteed.  

No shows

  • Students who do not remove themselves from the class (by canceling in the app) and don’t show up will not receive class credit or refund. 
One Day Intro to Aerial Silks

This 90 minute class is for those curious about aerial silks or interested in developing strong core and upper body with conditioning exercises on and off the silks. No experience necessary. Try it once and you’ll be hooked!

Aerial Silks Training

This drop-in mixed level aerial silks class focuses on strength conditioning and reviewing skills that you are learning in your regular aerial silks classes. Expect a full body workout, with an emphasis on upper body and core strength as they apply to aerial practices. Prerequisite: This class is for those students ages 12 and up that have already taken at least one aerial silks class at Ascend and is either currently enrolled in privates or group classes in our aerial silks class

Aerial Review

Practice what you are learning. Enjoy a guided warm-up and cool-down. An instructor will be on hand for spotting, feedback, and support throughout the clas  Note: bring your own material to work on, as the instructor will not be teaching new tricks or techniques.  Prerequisite: This drop-in class is for current Ascend Aerial students. 

Aerial Rope & Silks Combo

Two apparatuses for the price of one; silks and rope are paired together in this class designed to use the complementary aspects of each apparatus to help your aerial vocabulary grow and develop. With a strong focus on conditioning and proper form, students will skills on the rope, and silks. Prerequisite: Ascend Students that are Pre-Intermediate Levels and above

Intermediate Aerial Silks

Build on foundational skills and develop your unique aerial style. Each week, focus on specific skills and sequences, refining technique, exploring creative variations, and troubleshooting common challenges. Prerequisite: Pre-Intermediate Skills Requirements and Instructor Approval.

Mixed Level Aerial Silks

By Invitation only. Designed for both advanced beginner and pre-intermediate students, this class offers a challenging yet supportive environment to help each participant progress at their own pace and reach their goals. This class focuses on building technical skills, refining form, and exploring new aerial techniques. Students new to the studio? Schedule an assessment for Advanced Beginner Level & above.

Aerial Straps

This is a mixed-level drop-in class for developing aerial strength and body control. Our class focuses on technique and strength building by combining conditioning exercises and aerial straps skills. Skills are taught in progression, so no previous aerial experience necessary. We recommend that you have a healthy back and shoulders (no recent injuries or surgeries).

Fusion Training

Guided by skilled aerial silks coaches, you’ll embark on a transformative journey to enhance your strength, coordination, and mobility. Through a dynamic fusion of bodyweight exercises and aerial fabric techniques, you’ll unleash your full potential while experiencing the thrill of aerial fitness. Perfect for fitness enthusiasts, kickboxers, and aerial aficionados alike, this class will push your boundaries, fortify joint stability, and deepen your mind-body connection. NOTE: This class focuses on conditioning and excludes aerial silks skills.

Roll & Release: Foam Rolling Together

Improve your mobility, flexibility, and overall well-being through foam rolling. Our experienced instructor guides you through a series of movements to release tension, alleviate muscle soreness, and increase range of motion. All fitness levels welcome, with modifications available.

Pre-Intermediate / Intermediate Aerial Silks

Learn the basics of aerial silks, go from knowing a lot of moves to being able to do them beautifully, and start learning to make up your own repertoire. Each week we will concentrate on a specific class of poses, focusing on basic troubleshooting, form and technique, variations and transitions, and adding your own personal flair. Prerequisite: Advanced Beginner Skills Requirements and Instructor Approval

Pau Hana – Friday Night Aerial

Come unwind with your aerial family after a long week at work. This drop-in class will focus on a different skill each week . Expect a full body workout, with an emphasis on upper body and core strength as they apply to aerial practices. Prerequisite: Advanced Beginner Skills Requirements and Instructor Approval

Online Class Schedule
